Most growing companies juggle a dozen disconnected SaaS subscriptions — CRM here, accounting there, a separate web shop, a separate HR portal, a separate sign-up form for events. Each bills monthly, each stores customer data in a different country, each needs its own integration.
It can be done differently. Odoo is an open-source business platform that bundles all of it into a single application — and Cybermindnet now offers production hosting of the Community Edition on our Kubernetes clusters in the EU.
What is Odoo
Odoo is a modular business platform with several dozen integrated apps sharing a common database, a common user directory and a unified look and feel. Instead of stitching together Pipedrive + QuickBooks + Shopify + BambooHR + Mailchimp + Eventbrite, you have one application where sales orders flow into accounting, contacts in CRM are the same contacts who buy in e-commerce, and HR data lands in payroll without the export-import dance.
Die Community Edition is open source under the LGPL — no licence fee, no per-user pricing, no upsell to a SaaS plan. What you pay Cybermindnet for is the hosting, the upgrades, the backups, and the operational SLA, not for access to the software itself.
What you get out of the box
A single Odoo instance can give you in one go:
- CRM and sales — pipelines, quotes, sales orders, multi-currency, configurable workflows.
- Accounting — invoicing, double-entry bookkeeping, multi-currency, bank reconciliation, VAT reports, automatic FX rate updates.
- Inventory and purchasing — warehouse, batches / serial numbers, purchase orders, replenishment rules, barcode scanning.
- E-commerce — public web shop integrated with the same product catalogue, inventory and payment providers as the back office.
- Website builder — drag-and-drop pages, blog (you are reading one), forms, multi-language support. No separate CMS.
- HR, payroll, leave, recruiting — employee master data, contracts, time tracking, leave requests, recruiting pipelines.
- Events — ticketing, registration pages, attendance tracking, online and on-site events.
- E-learning — courses, certifications, quizzes, paid content.
- Projects, helpdesk, time tracking — task tracking, ticket SLAs, billable time, all linked to customers and invoices.
- Marketing automation, mass mailings, surveys — e-mail campaigns, contact segments, automated journeys.
Every module is optional. Start with CRM + accounting, add e-commerce next month, HR next quarter. You never have to migrate to another tool, because every module builds on the same data model from day one.
Why host with Cybermindnet
You could install Odoo on any Linux machine yourself — the source code is public. The hard parts are the ones you do not see in the demo:
- Production deployment — Kubernetes orchestration, persistent storage with Longhorn, automatic TLS via cert-manager, ingress hardening.
- Backups — Velero for cluster state, Longhorn snapshots to Hetzner Object Storage, regular restore drills so you know recovery works before you need it.
- Upgrades — Odoo releases a new major version every October and security patches during the year. We track them, test them against your instance and roll them out with rollback plans.
- Monitoring — Prometheus, Grafana and Loki for metrics and logs, alerting in your contact channel, not on a vendor status page.
- Customisation — Odoo is designed to be extensible. If your workflow does not fit one of the standard modules, we build a tailored add-on that lives alongside — and survives Odoo's yearly upgrades.
- Tenant isolation — your instance is your instance: dedicated database, dedicated filestore, dedicated TLS certificate. No noisy neighbours.
And — the same answer as with our Kubernetes service — your data physically lives in Europe, in Hetzner data centres in Germany or Finland. Subject to European law. GDPR-compliant by default; relevant to DORA and NIS2 obligations.
Who it is for
- Small and medium companies growing out of spreadsheets and a tangle of SaaS subscriptions.
- Service providers, agencies, online merchants, education providers, event organisers — anyone whose work spans more than one of CRM, sales, accounting, web, events.
- NGOs and public sector organisations with strict data residency rules or limited budgets.
- Companies leaving Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Business One or NetSuite and looking for an open, portable alternative.
No vendor lock-in
You own your data and your deployment. The data schema is documented. There are well-supported tools to export everything as CSV, XML or a PostgreSQL dump. If one day you want to take Odoo elsewhere, the door is open — we hand over the database, configuration, every custom module built for you, and the runbooks. No exit fees.
How to get started
Pricing depends on which modules you want to use, how many users you have, and what level of operational support you need. Write to us at info@cybermindnet.eu or via our contact form — we take in your requirements, set up a sandbox instance for you to try, and put together a transparent quote.
Run your business on open source. Keep your data in Europe. Pay for hosting and people, not for licences.
