Most growing companies juggle a dozen disconnected SaaS subscriptions — CRM here, invoicing there, a separate webshop, a separate HR portal, a separate signup form for events. Each one bills monthly, each one stores customer data in a different country, each one needs its own integration.
There is a different way. Odoo is an open-source business platform that bundles all of these into one application — and Cybermindnet now offers production-grade hosting of the Community edition, running on our Kubernetes clusters in the EU.
What is Odoo
Odoo is a modular business platform with several dozen integrated apps that share a single database, single user directory and single look. Instead of stitching together Pipedrive + QuickBooks + Shopify + BambooHR + Mailchimp + Eventbrite, you have one application where Sales orders flow into Accounting, contacts in CRM are the same contacts that buy in eCommerce, and HR data feeds Payroll without an export–import dance.
The Community edition is open source under the LGPL — there is no licence fee, no per-user pricing, no upsell to a SaaS plan. What you pay for with Cybermindnet is the hosting, the upgrades, the backups and the operational SLA, not access to the software itself.
What you get out of the box
A single Odoo instance can give you, all at once:
- CRM and Sales — pipelines, quotations, sales orders, multi-currency, configurable workflows.
- Accounting — invoicing, double-entry bookkeeping, multi-currency, bank reconciliation, VAT reports, automatic exchange-rate updates.
- Inventory and Purchase — warehouses, lots/serials, purchase orders, replenishment rules, barcode scanning.
- eCommerce — public webshop integrated with the same product catalogue, stock levels and payment providers as the back office.
- Website builder — drag-and-drop pages, blog (you are reading one), forms, multi-language. No separate CMS.
- HR, Payroll, Time Off, Recruitment — employee records, contracts, attendance, leave requests, hiring pipelines.
- Events — ticketing, registration pages, attendance tracking, online and on-site events.
- eLearning — courses, certifications, quizzes, payment-gated content.
- Projects, Helpdesk, Timesheets — task tracking, ticket SLAs, billable time, all linked to customers and invoices.
- Marketing automation, mass mailing, surveys — email campaigns, contact segments, automated journeys.
Every module is optional. Start with CRM + accounting, add eCommerce next month, add HR next quarter. You never have to migrate to a different tool because each module was built on the same data model from day one.
Why hosting with Cybermindnet
You could install Odoo yourself on any Linux machine — the source code is public. The hard parts are the things you do not see in the demo:
- Production deployment — Kubernetes orchestration, persistent storage with Longhorn, automated TLS via cert-manager, ingress hardening.
- Backups — Velero for cluster state, Longhorn snapshots into Hetzner Object Storage, periodic restore drills so you know recovery works before you need it.
- Upgrades — Odoo releases a new major version every October and security patches throughout the year. We track them, test against your instance and roll them out with rollback plans.
- Monitoring — Prometheus, Grafana and Loki for metrics and logs, alerting wired into your contact channel, not a vendor's status page.
- Customisation — Odoo is built to be extended. If your workflow does not fit any of the stock modules, we can build a tailor-made add-on that lives next to them — and that survives Odoo's annual upgrades.
- Tenant isolation — your instance is your instance: dedicated database, dedicated filestore, dedicated TLS certificate. No noisy neighbours.
And — same answer as for our Kubernetes service — your data physically lives in Europe, in Hetzner data centres in Germany or Finland. Subject to European law. GDPR-compliant by default; relevant for DORA and NIS2 obligations.
Who this is for
- Small and medium businesses outgrowing spreadsheets and a tangle of SaaS subscriptions.
- Service companies, agencies, online retailers, training providers, event organisers — anyone whose work spans more than one of CRM, sales, accounting, web, events.
- NGOs and public-sector organisations with strict data-residency rules or constrained budgets.
- Companies leaving Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Business One, or NetSuite for an open and portable alternative.
No vendor lock-in
You own your data and you own your deployment. The schema is documented. There are well-supported tools for exporting everything to CSV, XML or PostgreSQL dump. If one day you want to take Odoo elsewhere, the door is unlocked — we will hand over the database, the configuration, any custom modules we built for you, and the runbooks. No escape-hatch fees.
How to start
Pricing depends on the modules you want to use, the number of users and the level of operational support you need. Drop us a line at info@cybermindnet.eu or via our contact form — we will scope your needs, set up a sandbox instance for you to try, and prepare a transparent quote.
Run your business on open source. Keep your data in Europe. Pay for hosting and people, not for licences.
